Raganarok! – Watch! as that vicious wolf Fenrir Loki-son and wise All-father Wodin meet in a fearsome battle that will leave them both dead....

Ragnarok! – Marvel! as the powerful Thor Thunder-slinger faces, and defeats, the fantastical world-encircling beast Jormungand; only to die horribly himself from the creature's venomous bites...

Ragnarok! – Gasp! as the dread Frost Giants destroy all of mankind by freezing them, and then – Despair! as Surtr charges from the fiery realm of Muspell to destroy ALL the nine worlds with his blazing sword...

Ragnarok! -- The end of the world.... Or is it?????????

Gate opens Wednesday, Oct 3, 2012 at 12 PM (watch for details about early opening for pre-registered entrants or merchants). Site closes Monday, Oct 8, 2012 at 12 PM.

PRE-REG Site Fees:

• Arrive Wed-Thu: Adults $45 ($5 NMS applies without proof of membership);
  Youth 6-17 $35 (4th+ in same family free);
  
• Arrive Fri-Sat: Adults $40 ($5 NMS applies without proof of membership);
  Youth 6-17 $30 (4th+ in same family free)

Site Fees AT GATE:

• Arrive Wed-Thu: Adults $50 ($5 NMS applies without proof of membership);

• Arrive Fri-Sat: Adults $50 ($5 NMS applies without proof of membership);

Pre-Registration saves $5 and allows early gate entry Tuesday. All Children 0-5 free, all pets $1/day, all Dry RV no hookups, no additional fee for RV (RV length/width required).

Cash only at Gate. Land Allocation and Pre-reg is open March 1. Pre-Registration ends August 1, 2012. Equestrian Registration separate from Gate Registration. Make pre-registration checks payable to SCA Inc./Kingdom of Caid Great Western War.

What is GWW?

Great Western War (GWW) is the major camping event in the Kingdom of Caid, SCA for Southern CA, Vegas NV, and Hawaii. The 15th GWW will to be held October 3-8, 2012. The event is held at Buena Vista Aquatic Recreational Area, 13601 Ironbark Rd, Taft, CA 93268. It is an easy drive over the hill (north of Los Angeles, over the grapevine I-5) to a lovely park where we have a large lakeside area all to ourselves.

Site Location

Enjoy our wonderful site with green lawns, shade trees, lake breezes, and big blue skies at the Buena Vista Aquatic Recreational Area, 13601 Ironbark Rd, Taft, CA 93268. It is an easy drive over the hill to a lovely park where we have a large lakeside area all to ourselves.

Directions: (Approx 25 miles southwest of Bakersfield) From I-5 travel west on Taft Highway 119 (exit 244). [Go past the signs for "Buena Vista Recreational Area" -- Those signs will take you to the park "front" entrance, and you will have to back track and continue west on Hwy 119 to Golf Course Rd.] Turn left (east) on Golf Course Rd (5.1 miles). Turn left (east) on Ironbark Rd/Buena Vista Park. Proceed to the gate for check in. The GWW entrance will be located at the park's "back" entrance, not the main entrance off Highway 43.
